What Is Coinseal?
CoinSeal is an innovative app designed to protect your seed phrase in the safest and most convenient way possible. When users store their seed phrases with CoinSeal, our app uses an offline algorithmic equation to scramble the phrase. This unique scrambling process keeps your data completely offline, reducing exposure to online threats. The user is provided with a secure four-digit code, which is the only way to retrieve the seed phrase—CoinSeal doesn't have access to it.
Security & Recovery
At CoinSeal, we’ve developed a two-tiered approach to security: offline scrambling and a video-audio recovery process. The offline scrambling ensures that your seed phrase is never vulnerable to hacks while online. When users need to recover their seed phrase, CoinSeal compares video and audio data from their initial sign-up to the recovery attempt, ensuring a secure, personalized retrieval process.
The Journey
My personal journey into crypto security began after realizing how much trust we place in imperfect systems. A close friend of mine lost access to their entire crypto portfolio after forgetting their seed phrase, a mistake that still haunts them. It became clear to me that something more reliable was needed, and that’s how CoinSeal was born.
​The importance of securing seed phrases cannot be overstated—losing your seed phrase means losing all your assets. With CoinSeal, we’ve made it our mission to make sure that never happens.
NFTs as Our Crowdfunding Strategy
In addition to our security technology, we’re leveraging NFTs in an innovative way to raise capital and involve the community in our journey. Our approach is simple: we’re minting 200,000 NFTs, each linked to a one-year membership with the app. These NFTs will be sold for $5 each, giving us the opportunity to raise $1 million in capital.
​This method allows us to not only raise funds but also involve our community in the development process. Members who purchase NFTs can hold them or even sell them once their membership expires, giving them a tangible asset. More importantly, every NFT holder becomes a part of the CoinSeal community, contributing to the growth and evolution of the app.
Community-Driven Development
​We believe in the power of community, and CoinSeal is designed with that belief at its core. Our app won’t launch until we’ve built a community of 200,000 members on the waitlist for our NFTs. Once we reach that milestone, a portion of the funds raised will be given back to the community through giveaways, while the rest will be used to develop the app itself.
​We’re also exploring human-to-human verification within our recovery process. Members of the community will be able to verify one another when recovering seed phrases, adding another layer of security and reinforcing the importance of trust within the CoinSeal ecosystem.
